About this project

Why this project exists and who it is for – practical beekeeping tools and playbooks for 0–50 hive apiaries.

Beekeeping Tools & Playbooks exists for one simple reason:

Most small-scale beekeepers are surrounded by information – but starved of clear, practical plans.

Instead of another book, endless forum thread or two-hour video, this project focuses on:

  • Small apiaries first – 0–50 hives, not 5,000.
  • Temperate and cold climates – winter survival matters.
  • Tools that do the thinking with you – calculators, planners and checklists.

What this site is (and isn’t)

It is:

  • a collection of calculators, planners and checklists you can actually use in the apiary;
  • a set of playbooks and PDFs that turn scattered advice into coherent workflows;
  • a growing library of articles that support the tools with context.

It is not:

  • a replacement for your local mentor or club;
  • a product catalogue disguised as education;
  • a social network or community platform.

Built by working beekeepers

The logic in these tools comes from real apiary work in northern Europe and conversations with beekeepers around the world.

The goal is to capture the kind of planning and „back-of-the-envelope“ calculations experienced beekeepers use – and turn them into reusable tools.

What’s next

Over time we plan to:

  • add more tools and refine the logic in existing ones;
  • release deeper playbooks on varroa, first-year management, growth and more;
  • connect the site to simple email and payment systems so we can sustainably keep building.

If you have ideas or spot something that looks wrong for your region, we’d love to hear from you.
